Bonnie Mae Carrow is an artist and educator based in Middletown, PA, whose practice is rooted in contemporary craft, sculpture, and installation. She is currently the Director of Exhibitions and an Adjunct Professor at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design.

By manipulating common household objects and recreating architectural design details, her work examines the complex dualities of our embodied relationship with domestic space: as places of comfort and care, as well as emotional, social, and political indoctrination. Her work reveals how these intimate settings have been used to conceal truth and mediate reality in service of legacy and empire, and their potential as arenas for envisioning radical alternatives to the present.
